- August 2, 2021
12:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Attendees will be instructed on how to properly build, setup, and operate a camera rig for live shows. The class will go over live tripod setups, shoulder operated cameras, and PTZ(Pan, Tilt, Zoom) “robo” cameras. The class will also review basic optics, color, shot terms, director terms, instruction, and etiquette. Every attendee will be required to demonstrate everything we go over in the class at a basic ability level.
The goal will be to give attendees the knowledge and hands on experience they need in order take calls and work as camera operators. Instruction will include everything you need to know to increase your camera skill from level 4 → 3, or from level 3 → 2 with the IATSE Local 15 hiring hall. Skill increases will be entirely dependent on a person’s practical test performance.
This course is offered at Benaroya Hall. Please sign in with security at artist entrance on 2nd Ave. If you are not fully vaccinated you must wear a mask at all times. If you are fully vaccinated, you are not required to wear a mask but may do so if you wish.
