This class will teach techniques for open beam rigging at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington.  Attendees will pull approximately 60 pounds of chain and cable from I-beams while attached to a fall arrest system.

This training event is intended for those with previous work experience working at height while attached to a fall arrest system. Instruction and training will occur on high steel outdoors in possibly inclement weather. Attendees are REQUIRED to bring:

  • their own class 3 fall arrest harness with 2 shock absorbing legs;
  • a chin strapped hard hat; and
  • 65 feet of rope.

Attendees will receive a Fall Protection/Rescue training specific to the venue prior to hazard exposure. The training will begin at Noon, Wednesday October 6. Training will continue on Thursday October 7 at 9 am and may go until 5 pm.  Attendees may camp on the Amphitheatre grounds or find lodging off-site. No food will be provided.

This course will be limited to 20 participants. The instructors are Kyle Daley, Meranda McNeill and Brian Snyder.
