This class will review techniques for Open Beam Rigging at Showare Center. Attendees will pull approximately 60 pounds of chain and cable from I-beams and square tube while attached to a fall arrest system. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own fall arrest harness with 6ft lanyard and will receive a Fall Protection/Rescue training specific to the venue prior to hazard exposure. The Training Trust has a limited supply of extra harnesses for those without their own.
This class is intended for those with prior rigging experience (but not on open beams) and those who successfully completed the Arena Rigging course taught in 2019. Experienced up-riggers are also encouraged to attend and refresh their skills.
