8:00 am - 7:00 pm
This training session will review techniques for Open Beam Rigging at the Tacoma Dome. This event is limited to those workers who are rated as a “3” or above for open beam rigging and is intended to introduce the Tacoma Dome rigging system to those workers who are unfamiliar with it and for workers who have worked in the venue previously and would like to refresh their knowledge of the building. The purpose of this training session is to prepare to provide full staffing of trained and venue familiar riggers to Tacoma Dome events.
As part of the instruction, attendees will pull approximately 80 pounds of chain and rigging hardware from the ground to the grid while attached to a fall arrest system.
Attendees are required to bring their own class 3 fall arrest harness with dual-leg shock absorbing lanyards; a chin strapped hard hat; and no less than 100 feet of rope.
Registrations will be reviewed by Training Trust staff and instructors to ensure previous experience criteria are met. If you have questions about your relevant level of experience, contact the Training Coordinator at: firstname.lastname@example.org
This training session will begin at 8 am on Tuesday, October 12 and conclude by 7 pm with a one hour walk away lunch mid-day.
Venue access information and COVID guidelines will be provided by email to attendees.
