Wig Maintenance

THIS CLASS IS FULL.  REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.   This hands-on class is intended to teach advanced level wig skills. The class will cover various aspects and situations you’ll face when maintaining the look of a wig design. This is NOT a beginning wig class.  This class is geared towards those who already have basic wig handling skills, wardrobe folks who find themselves asked to maintain wigs, and/or those looking to make themselves more marketable to the larger houses in town. Houses like the Opera, Paramount, and 5^th Ave will expect you to already have a good grasp on these skills before working on their wig crews.

Each class member will work with 2 human hair wigs- one updo and one down style. Class members will also observe the maintenance of a short male presenting wig style and a long textured wig.

This class will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2025 from 1-5 pm. It will be hosted at the 5^th Ave Theatre in a mirrored dressing room area. All materials will be provided, but please bring something to take notes and/or photos.
