Civil Classroom and Anti Harassment Policy

The WWTTT is committed to providing an educational environment that accords students and instructors equality, respect, and dignity. In keeping with this commitment, the Trust has adopted a policy of “zero tolerance” with regard to harassment. Harassment is defined under federal law as unwelcome conduct that is based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation and gender identity), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information. The Trust will not tolerate conduct that is severe or pervasive enough to create an environment that a reasonable person would consider intimidating, hostile, or abusive.

The WWTTT policy on harassment is part of its overall efforts to provide a workplace and educational environment free from discrimination and retaliation, pursuant to local, state and federal laws prohibiting discrimination based on age, race, color, creed/religion, national origin, honorably discharged veteran and military status, marital status, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, and sex, or any other characteristic that is protected by law. This policy is also part of the Trust’s commitment to diversity and inclusion, and a workplace or classroom that is free from harassment, disrespect, and divisiveness.

Harassment of any other person, including, without limitation, instructors, fellow students, contractors, or visitors, is grounds for immediate ejection.

Violations of this policy should be reported to Training Coordinator Mylor Treneer or Administrator Delia Mulholland.

The Western Washington Theatrical Training Trust admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the training school.
