Flyrail & Weightloading Session #1

This class will focus on the safe operation of a counterweight fly system. Students will hang, balance and fly scenery under the direction of the instructors. Emphasis will be on the safe communication between the flyman and the rest of the crew. There will be a discussion of system and component capacities and maintenance. Also, the safe use of rope and common knots used in the theatre will be covered. Students will be taught the proper procedure for loading/unloading counterweights on the arbor.

This a a 3 to 4 hour class that will be taught at the Paramount Theatre on June 12 at 10 am. There is another session of this same class in the afternoon. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR BOTH!
