THIS CLASS IS FULL.  REGISTRATION IS CLOSED.

An Introduction to Flat Patterning for Menswear taught by Jim Westerland and Patti Emmert.

A beginner level class where you will learn the basics of flat patterning by drafting a men’s basic body block, a basic pants pattern, and if time permits, the method for taking a pattern from an existing garment. No previous patterning experience is required, but a basic knowledge of sewing would be helpful.

This class will be held at the Seattle Opera costume shop on Saturday May, 10, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Please bring 3-4 pencils, erasers, a simple garment to copy (doesn’t need to be menswear), and if you have any of the following: a yard stick, a clear plastic “quilting” ruler, an “L” square, a fashion curve, tracing wheel, and paper scissor.

Registration will close on Saturday, May 3rd.
